‘Numb3rs’ has always been in news since the day of its premiere because of the series’ very appealing plot-line and characters, especially, Charlie Eppes and Don Eppes. After the fourth season of series, fans were crazy to watch the episodes of next season of series.    The much awaited fifth season of Numb3rs was premiered on October 3, 2008 and season opener was entitled ‘High Exposure’. In this episode, we saw that Don and his team were in search of killers of two rock climbers. A new member joined Don’s team and Charlie was seen handling his own issues and debating to get his FBI clearance.   Second episode of season was entitled ‘The Decoy Effect’ in which a woman was found murdered and the investigation revealed that it’s a part of a series of kidnaps, rapes and murders. Don and his team went after a group of kidnappers who’re abducting their victims and stealing their money.  A New girl Nikki was introduced who agreed to pose as a decoy. Next episode in row was ‘Blowback’. Here we saw that two people and police officers were killed in a coffee shop and the team was investigating their case. Then came the episode entitled ‘Jack of All Trades’ in which Don’s team joined FBI agent Bloom to track an intangible con man. We also came to know about decisions on Charlie’s FBI clearance and a disciplinary action for Don. In the next episode ‘Scan Man’ in which the team was seen tracking down a crew responsible of stealing goods from a shipping service. In the next episode entitled ‘Magic Show’, we saw that David got caught up in the drama of a missing persons’ case after a female magician disappeared on stage during a trick.   Seventh season of series was entitled ‘Charlie Don’t Surf’. In this episode, we saw that one of Don and Charlie’s friends died in an accident. They both delved into the case to investigate further and find out what’s hidden behind the white curtain.  In ‘Thirty-Six Hours’, the whole team was sent to investigate and help the passengers of a crashed train which was carrying some dangerous chemicals etc. With major concern to save the innocent passengers, their other aim was to find out whether the collision was just an accident or an act of terror.

Then we watched the episode ‘Conspiracy Theory’ in which the headquarters of a popular charity organization were bombed. It all was the part of a terror plan and Don, Charlie and the rest of the team was seen trying hard to reveal mystery behind the organization itself. In the next episode ‘Frienemies’, the team faced a case in which a single mathematical genius was not sufficient to sort out the matter. Charlie joined his arch rival-Marshall Penfield to solve the case. Don’s was not sure whether his religion held the answers he’s looking for. Then came the episode ‘Arrow of Time’ in which a convicted criminal broke out the jail with not-very-good intentions. On the other hand, Don decided to turn to his new found religious beliefs. Then was the episode ‘Jacked’ in which Don and his team tried their best to save the hostages of a hijacked bus. Making the situation worse was the time limits; they only had four hours to do what they could to save the passengers. ‘Trouble in Chinatown’ showed that an undercover agent disappeared and the team had to go to Chinatown’s black market to find the missing undercover agent. Next to it was the episode ‘Sneakerhead’. In this episode, the team found itself in the world of sneaker. Liz gave second thoughts to her decision. Guilt Trip is to be aired on February 13, 2009. Cover Me would be aired on February 27, 2009. In Guilt Rip, we’d see that Robin’s bulletproof case would fail which would result in the release of a dangerous weapons smuggler. The team would be serving to investigate the possibility of jury tampering. ‘Cover Me’ would show how Charlie’s plan to stop a new drug would put Liz in danger.

Season’s Top Ranked Episode ‘Jacked’

In this episode, we saw Don and his team trying their best to save the hostages of a hijacked bus. The biggest issue was the time limits; they only had four hours to do what they should to save the innocents trapped inside the bus. Viewers liked this episode very much.
