Rob Morrow was born and raised in New Rochelle, New York by his father Murray Morrow, an industrial lighting manufacturer and mother Diane. His parents got divorced when he was 9 years old. Being the creative person that he is, right after his high school he pursued his acting career. Morrow was also a student of acting in the renowned HB studio in New York.

Success was not easy for Morrow; it took almost a decade before stardom came to him in 1990. “Northern Exposure” was the TV series which got him fame and also nominations of two Emmy award and three Golden Globe awards. Rob tried his hand in the films too but was not much successful. He also began his theatre career with Tom o’Horgan and Norman Mailer and since then is committed to theatre. He also published his book of original photographs called “Northern Exposures”.

The Silent Alarm a short film that he wrote and also made his directorial debut with was at the Seattle film festival in 1993. Morrow then moved to directing full length movies, with the script that he co-wrote, maze in 2000.

The actor is married to Debbon Ayer in 1998 and has a daughter with her named Tu Simmone Morrow. Currently he is working with the CBS in Numb3rs as Don Eppes, a FBI agent.
