How can this be possible? This show has been a rocking experience all throughout its aired seasons. Even the current season of Numb3rs is proving to be an enthralling experience. But some voices are being raised that point towards ending of the series with conclusion of its ongoing season. It’s not my personal perception folks; this is what the show’s co creator, Cheryl is saying.

A recent statement made by him included the following content, “We will be doing a 16th episode that wraps up storylines and answers questions. It will be designed to stand as a finale, but it     won’t create story situations that would hamper us if the network should decide to order more episodes.” The episode “will give fans what they’ve been waiting for… We’re looking to feature all our characters and give good moments to every member of the cast.”

These words do not sound encouraging. In case they turn out to be exactly the way they have been said, the airing day of series finale would be a heartbreaking moment for the unrivaled fan following of Numb3rs. Let’s hope the big bosses decide against their decision. How can they think on these lines when the series is touching great heights in popularity charts?

Due to curtailing of current season from twenty episodes to just sixteen episodes, the fans have already been robbed of a great spectacle. Let’s join hands and raise our voices against this baffling decision, may be we might succeed to halt its implementation.

Numb3rs came with a different approach towards a police procedural series. The last aired episode was,” Where Credit’s Due.” Its air date fell on October 16, 2009. A movie producer’s almost dried up and rotten body is discovered from a sandy desert. As a result the team has to take a closer look into the movies production business.

Let me put more information across to you. The upcoming Numb3rs episodes entitled as “Hydra“, “Dreamland, “Shadow Markets” and “Ultimatum” are scheduled to air on October 23, Octuber30, November 6 and November 30.

I tried searching for the spoilers and drew a blank, and then I stumbled upon some very interesting though trivial facts about Numb3rs. I enjoyed reading them and now I would like to share it with all you Numb3rs fans out there. Here we go–

The Numb3rs TV show was originally planned around the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). However, they moved the setting to Caltech when Gary Lorden, the chairman of the math department there agreed to consult on the series. Some scenes have been actually shot on the campus itself! When the pilot for the series was first shown at Caltech, it received a standing ovation from the brainy audience.

At the end of episode #44, “Blackout”, Alan, Don, and Charlie are shown to be at home for the evening and as they begin to relax, the Taxi TV Series theme song starts playing on their television. Judd Hirsh (Alan Eppes) was a main character on that 1978-1983 series!

Numb3rs is one series that I just don’t think of missing. The series is so interesting and different and I just love the way they used mathematics in the series. I never thought that a subject like mathematics could be used to solve crime and that also in such a broad way. It’s just their, this application of mathematics and this unique way of solving crime that doesn’t let me miss even a single episode.

Anyways, some how I was not able to see the last three episodes of the series so, today when I got time I downloaded the three episodes that I missed and watched them at a go. After watching the episodes I thought that I should write about how I found those episodes. So, here I am with my opinion of the episodes. Firstly, the episodes that I missed out on were Scan Man, Magic Show and Charlie Don’t Surf. Well, out of the three episodes, the episode that I liked the most was Scan Man, for a simple reason, that the episode had both the elements of suspense and emotions. In the other two episodes I found that missing. In this episode, the team had to fight a bad man in the shipping business. While they are working on the case one of member of the team gets killed. Don feels really bad regarding the same and starts questioning his ability of being the leader of the team. It is this part that I liked the most, when Don comes out of his flux. In the other two episodes, they fight crime and find murderer of their friend, while the murder was thought to be an accident. I just love the way these guys solve their cases.

Well, as you all must be aware of the fact that the soon the series will finish its fifth season. All I am worried about is will the channel renew the series with another season. The first episode of the fifth season was a breathtaking episode. The episode was wonderful as a comeback episode and suited best for the opening of the season. In this episode Don gets a new team to work with. While he is working hard with his new team members, Charlie on the other hand, must deal with the fall out of losing his clearance. The second and the third episode were equally good too. They start their regular chasing from this episode onwards. Don and his team had to fight a group of kidnappers, who have made innocent people their victims and are after their money. The whole thing gets more serious when one of the victims gets killed. In the next episode too, the two brothers get together to solve a case in which eight people are killed at a coffee shop.

Well, the first three episodes of the season were very interesting and if they keep making episodes like this, I am sure they have a long way to cover and many more seasons to make. I hope they keep entertaining us with good and sensible episodes and, that they come up with lots of more seasons.

CBS series Numb3rs season 5 will be premiered on October 3, 2008 as per the latest official announcement. Network has recently renewed the series along with some other CBS hits CSI trio, Cold Case and Without a Trace. Well, fans who’re crazy to watch new episodes may now have a sigh of relief…. Because there’re some rumors about series’ cancellation also! But finally, we’ve got it back…

What’s coming up? I don’t have too many details but still I’ve some details to share with you buddies. Season opener will be entitled ‘High Exposure’ and the episode is set to air on October 3.
